About Taylor Keen, Counselor
Taylor Keen is a counselor at Generations Counseling in O’Fallon, MO, bringing nearly 15 years of experience helping individuals, couples, teens, and families learn to live a better story. Most importantly, he believes that only when we understand where we come from do we begin to exert some power in choosing where we are going.
Who Taylor Works With
Taylor works with individuals, couples, teens, and families in O’Fallon, MO and the surrounding St. Charles County area, offering both in-person and virtual sessions. Specifically, because he sees marriage as a crucial part of healthy families and a healthy society, he is eager to help couples work through trust and communication issues, intimacy, and parenting. Furthermore, he loves walking alongside individuals healing from anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and sexual addiction. In addition, Taylor is in-network with United Healthcare and Anthem, making quality care more accessible.
Therapeutic Approach
At the core, Taylor endeavors to provide a safe and trusting environment where you can begin to understand your story more completely. As a result, his work draws on Somatic Experiencing and his nearly 15 years of clinical experience to support each client’s unique journey. Furthermore, his background includes working with teenagers at a therapeutic wilderness school, giving him a grounded and practical understanding of adolescents and the families around them. Together, these experiences shape a therapeutic approach that is both clinically informed and deeply human.
Faith and Ministry Background
Taylor has served in Christian ministry for over 15 years. Furthermore, he integrates a faith-based perspective for clients who desire to incorporate their beliefs into the counseling process. Whether you are navigating spiritual questions alongside life’s challenges or simply looking for a counselor who understands that world, Taylor brings both personal and professional depth to that conversation.
Background
Taylor received his Master of Arts in Counseling from Covenant Theological Seminary and is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Missouri. Outside the counseling room, he is happily married with three children.
