about-us

About Us

R elationships are the fabric of life. At Generations Counseling, we believe growth happens in safe and caring relationships. Most importantly, our team walks alongside you through the challenges that life and connection bring.

Our Approach to Counseling

Serving O’Fallon, Saint Charles, and the wider West County area, each of our counselors brings a passionate interest in relational and family dynamics. We pay particular attention to individual concerns — stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, OCD, marriage — that affect both your inner life and your closest relationships. As a result, our work blends personal and relational healing rather than treating them as separate concerns. Furthermore, we help you develop relational skills that change old patterns and build new ones that promote healthy connection. We work with kids, adolescents, adults, couples, and families across Missouri. Whether you meet with us in person or virtually, we create space for honest conversation and meaningful change.

Our Specialties

Our counselors offer specialized care across a range of evidence-based therapies. We provide Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples seeking deeper connection. In addition, we offer Exposure Response Prevention (ERP) and Inferential-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (I-CBT) for OCD, along with Somatic Experiencing (SE) for trauma. We also draw on Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive/Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (C/DBT), and Interpersonal Process (IPT). As a result, you receive care matched to your specific concerns rather than a one-size-fits-all approach.

What to Expect in Sessions

Starting therapy can feel uncertain. In your first session, we take time to get to know you — your story, your concerns, and what you are hoping to gain from counseling. There is no pressure to share everything at once. Furthermore, we collaboratively set goals that reflect what matters most to you and build self-awareness at a pace that feels manageable.

In ongoing sessions, we apply what you learn to your most important relationships and daily life. For us, the story of your life shapes the framework of our work together. Whether you meet with us in person at our O’Fallon, MO office or virtually from anywhere in Missouri, each session is a step toward meaningful and lasting growth. Sessions typically run 50 to 55 minutes.
