About Keith Puellman, Counselor
Do you feel stuck in patterns that keep pulling you back, in your relationships, your habits, or your sense of self? Keith believes that the heart drives our thoughts, beliefs, and actions. Most importantly, his focus in therapy is not only on the behavior or issue you present, but on discovering and treating the root cause of what you are experiencing.
Who Keith Works With
Keith works with individuals, couples, teens, and families in O’Fallon, St. Charles, and the surrounding areas, offering both in-person and virtual sessions. Specifically, he has a deep passion for helping couples build strong, healthy, loving, and trusting marriages. In addition, as an adoptive father himself, Keith brings personal understanding and professional training to the unique challenges faced by adoptive parents and their children. Furthermore, he is an out-of-network provider, meaning he can provide a receipt for sessions that you may submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement.
Areas of Specialty
Keith has 15 years of experience in the counseling field. Prior to private practice, he spent 7 years working in the addiction field, giving him deep knowledge, compassion, and insight for those struggling with addiction and codependency. Furthermore, he received professional training in TBRI, Trust-Based Relational Intervention, at the TCU Institute of Child Development in Fort Worth, Texas. In addition, Keith is experienced in treating depression, anxiety, grief, anger, and relationship concerns.
Therapeutic Approach
At the core, Keith’s approach centers on the belief that lasting change requires addressing the root of what you are experiencing, not just the surface symptoms. As a result, therapy with Keith is a collaborative process of genuine exploration and healing. Whether you are navigating addiction, adoption challenges, marital struggles, or personal growth, Keith brings both clinical expertise and genuine care to every session.
Background
Keith received his Master of Arts in Counseling from Covenant Theological Seminary and holds a License as a Professional Counselor in Missouri. Outside the counseling room, he is happily married with three children, young adults and teenagers, and understands firsthand the joys and challenges that family life brings.
