Be like the bird, who
Halting in his flight
On limb too slight
Feels it give way beneath him,
Yet sings
Knowing he hath wings.

About Amy Gatschenberger Sandford, Counselor

Do you wish you had wings? Perhaps you wish you could sing when the struggles of life no longer offer a steady place to put your feet. Life can be hard. Losses, fear, difficult relationships, trauma, and stagnation can steal the joys of our lives. Furthermore, we all need a safe and supportive environment to process life, foster growth, and create change.

Who Amy Works With

As a counselor, Amy seeks to create that space and join her clients in discovering the freedom to sing even when the ground around them is unsteady. Specifically, she works with adolescents and adults in O’Fallon, MO and the surrounding St. Charles County area who are struggling with self-doubt, life transitions, stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship concerns. Moreover, Amy currently offers virtual appointments only, making her services accessible from wherever you are.

Somatic Experiencing

As a Somatic Experiencing (SE) Practitioner in Training, Amy supports SE’s creative and highly effective ways of treating trauma. In addition, SE offers insight into how physical responses provide a road map for emotions and thoughts. As a result, this body-based approach helps clients access healing that talk therapy alone may not reach.

Taking the Next Step

If you are ready to find your wings, Amy would be glad to connect. Together, let’s learn to sing.
