About Alyssa King, Counselor
Alyssa believes that healing happens in the presence of safety, connection, and compassion. Most importantly, she is committed to helping individuals find relief, deepen self-understanding, and experience wholeness as they navigate life’s challenges. With a passion for helping clients break unhelpful patterns, she supports them in building healthier relationships with others and with themselves.
Specializing in Women and Adolescent Girls
Alyssa specializes in working with adolescent girls and adult women in O’Fallon, MO and the surrounding St. Charles County area. Specifically, she focuses on stress, anxiety, perfectionism, depression, life transitions, and relational struggles. Furthermore, she integrates a faith-based approach for clients who want to bring their beliefs into the counseling process. As a result, her work meets clients where they are spiritually, emotionally, and relationally.
Therapeutic Approach
At the core, Alyssa’s style centers on creating a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can explore their stories, build emotional strength, and move toward healing and growth. In addition, she draws on EFIT, CBT, IFS, and Interpersonal Process Therapy (IPT) to support each client’s unique journey. Moreover, she tailors her approach to fit each person’s needs and goals. Whether you are facing a difficult life change or working through long-standing patterns, Alyssa brings both clinical skill and genuine care to every session.
Background
Alyssa earned her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Missouri Baptist University. Outside the counseling room, she enjoys reading, baking, playing pickleball, going on walks with her husband, and exploring all the coffee shops St. Louis has to offer.
