Mia Mauss MA, PLPC

Provisional Licensed Professional Counselor

lk

Hello! My name is Melanie, but everyone calls me Mia. In 2022, I graduated from Covenant Theology Seminary with a Masters of Art in Counseling. Prior to becoming a counselor, I spent 10 years in the writing and editing field, where I served as a ghostwriter on several published works of Christian nonfiction. Today, I bring my love of stories into the counseling room by helping women and couples explore the past, assess the present, and change the outcome of their stories.

I enjoy working with clients who are healing from childhood abuse, navigating life transitions, and breaking relational patterns. I draw from Internal Family Systems to help clients develop compassion for themselves and curiosity about their symptoms.

I’m a warm and direct therapist, who will help you notice the patterns that are no longer serving you and develop new ways of engaging with the world. I take a respectful, sensitive and collaborative approach to counseling. In our time together, you can expect to be both unconditionally accepted and encouraged to grow.
